DIRECTIONS FROM ALBUQUERQUE AND SANTA FE:

From Albuquerque take I-25 north. To bypass Santa Fe, take the “Relief Route” NM 599 north to Espanola and follow the directions below.

If you want to go through Santa Fe, take I-25 and exit on St. Francis Drive. Take St. Francis through Santa Fe, it becomes US 84/285, for approximately 12 miles. Follow the directions below. 

 

Go through the town of Pojoaque, heading towards Espanola and make a right turn at the “East Nambe Exit” NM 503. Continue for 8 miles and make a left turn into Chimayo on NM 98, go exactly 3.1 miles. Make a left turn (1/8 of a mile past the Rancho de Chimayo Restaurant) onto Camino de Mision (94E). Go ¼ mile and make a left turn into our parking lot. (If you get to “Ortega’s Weaving Shop” you have gone ¼ mile too far.

DIRECTIONS FROM TAOS THROUGH ESPANOLA:

Take NM 68 south towards Espanola. Drive past Walmart, CVS and Walgreens and make a left turn onto NM 76. Stay on 76 for 8 miles and make a right turn into Chimayo on CR 98. Make an immediate right turn onto Camino de Mision (CR 94E). You will be parallel to “Ortega’s Weaving Shop”. Stay on the paved road for ¼ mile and turn right into our parking lot. If you find yourself back on the main road, you have gone a quarter mile too far.

DIRECTIONS FROM TAOS VIA THE SCENIC ROUTE:

Leave Taos heading south on NM 68. When you reach the traffic light at Rancho de Taos make a left turn on NM 518, continue to NM 75 and then to NM 76 down to Chimayo. Make a left turn into Chimayo and then an immediate right turn so you are parallel to “Ortega’s Weaving Shop”, stay on the paved road for ¼ mile and turn right into our parking lot.

Public Transport

SHUTTLE  AND BUS SERVICE:

There are several shuttles offering service

from the Albuquerque Sunport to several stops in Santa Fe.

The “Blue Bus” offers daily transportation to Taos and Santa Fe through many of the small mountain village towns on the “High Road” and to the different ski areas. www.ncrtd.org

 

Santa Fe Municipal Airport offers limited flights from major cities and is located 37 miles from Chimayo. It takes approximately 40 minutes driving time to get here.
